Where do I get Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD?

I'm getting a message asking for the subject CD. I ordered the SP2 update,
but the one for Home edition came. I see no way to specify Professional when
ordering the CD.

Whatever is issuing the message to insert the Pro XP SP 2 CD will not accept
the Home XP SP 2.

There is only one Windows XP SP-2.
That is used for all versions of Windows XP.

The message is probably asking for the Windows XP CD and not the Service
Pack SC since the Service Pack Files are already on the computer.

You're right. I'm calmer today than yesterday and I see that the SP 2 CD
lists Professional and other versions besides just Home.

I tried that too, and it wouldn't accept the Windows XP CD either.

Some have reported success by pressing the Retry button several times.
Otherwise see if this applies:

Looking at the files talked about in the URL above, ims.inf and fp40ext.inf,
I convinced myself of two things:
1. The fix there wouldn't be of any help because all it did was change the
message displayed about what CD to insert. The problem was however, not
being able to find a CD that was what sfc was looking for.
2. sfc was looking for a CD with a file named win51ip.sp2. I'm thinking that
must be the windows XP CD with SP2 incorporated into it.

I fixed the problem by using nlite.exe to make a Windows XP cd with sp2 on
it. Then I in fact had to hit Retry several times.
