Where do I get a Windows 2000 Professional Full Install Disk?

I'm visiting my son-in-law, and he is running a legal copy of Windows
2000 Professional on his IBM Thinkpad. It needs to be reinstalled from
scratch. Either he has lost the install CD that came with his system,
or he was never provided with one. Where do I get one for him? I know
that I can buy a copy on Ebay, but I shouldn't have to since he paid
full price for the operating system that came installed on his
Thinkpad, right?

well if you lost/missplaced the cd you have to pay to replace, just like any
other product
Having said that visit ibm support site, there may be a hidden restore
partition on the sys.

If you still have the licence key then you can borrow a CD
from a friend and use it to re-install Windows. It's the key
that's important. If your son-in-law lost the key too then you
can probably retrieve it with aida32.exe:
