Where are sites to learn about COM and COM+?

At work, I have to do some maintenance on some software that uses COM
and COM+, but I don't know anything about that stuff. I've been told
that I need to learn about marshaling and the dual interface. I've
also noticed that we use an .odl file which looks, to me, to be similar
to an .idl file. Our environment is Visual C++ .NET 2003 and Visual
Basic 6.

Anyway, can anyone here point me to a site or many sites where I can
learn how to do this stuff. I would buy a book, but all the COM books
have to be ordered, which I've done, but that takes a minimum of 4
business days. I'd like to make some significant progress this week.

The sites that I've checked out don't provide many examples of code.
It seems that they just provide more words than code, such as
definitions and rules.

Please help.

Thanks in advance.
