Where are my emails after default settings restored?

I used detect and repair after my PC kept having errors in word, but now my
Outlook 2003 seems to have re-installed itself and I have lost all my emails
& contacts. Is there any way I can retrieve them?

Check the path & name in eg Properties of your Personal Folders a new
default pst may have been created.
If so within OL File>Open>Data File........see if it shows the origonal data
File.
By default the OL data file is named outlook.pst, a newly created one would
be outlook1.pst
