Where are my calendar dates & contacts?

I just upgraded to Office 2007 and none of my Outlook calendar dates or
contacts came over from 2003. How can I get them back?

Please explain what steps you followed to "upgrade." An in-place upgrade shouldn't affect your data or mail profile settings.

That's what I thought and it's strange that when I type an address into a new
message, it still acts as though my contacts are there; i.e. giving me a list
of contacts to select from. But there are no contacts when I click on the
contacts button.

Getting back to your question, I just went throough the procedures that the
upgrade put me through. I downloaded the program from the site, it started
the installation and said it appeared that I had an existing installation and
asked if I wanted to perform an upgrade (I'm pretty sure that's how it went)
and I then accepted all the defaults.

One other itneresting thing is that all my Hotmail messages are there, but
all of my messages on my one POP/SMTP account are gone.

You mean the popup "autosuggest" list? That is not stored with your other Outlook data but in a separate .nk2 file, keyed to your mail profile.

What "contacts button" are you referring to? Outlook has more than one.

Check File | Data File Management to see if it's using the .pst file that you were using previously. You might also want to search your system for other .pst files.
