Where are files saved, when saving attachments in email messages?

A user opened a file attachment (word document) from Outlook 2003 and
proceeded to modify its contents.

After all modifications were performed she saved the file.

She did not click Save As.

As a result, we cannot find the file.

We searched in Temporary Internet Files but could not find it there either

Any ideas where the file has been saved to?

They're in the Outlook Secure Temp Folder.
