Where Are E-Mail Addresses Stored?

Sorry for such a bonehead question, but I don't know what this thing is
called so I can't do a proper search. When I am sending an e-mail and begin
to type in the recipient's e-mail address, a window pops up and offers me a
list of possible e-mail addresses that I have sent to or received from
before.

What is this called, and how can I transfer this info to my laptop, i.e.,
what file is it stored in? Thanks in advance for any help.

I presume you don't mean a window, you mean a dropdown list - and you're
using OL2002 or 2003 (please include more info when you post).
If so, it's called autocomplete, and the cached info will simply be rebuilt
when you start using your new Outlook profile. It doesn't do lookups to
anything.
I don't know that you can just copy the actual file over, but it's got the
file extension .nk2.

Sorry, normally I know enough to include versions, etc. It's Outlook 2003,
BTW. The file on my desktop Win2k system is called Outlook.nk2, and I
simply copied it over the one in the newly-built laptop system (which is
XP), and autocomplete works just fine. Thanks for the help.
