When sending to distribution list, get "unrecoverable error"-fix?

Tried the same send after exiting Outlook and reloading it in its safe
mode ("outlook.exe /safe")? That doesn't load add-ons and COM plug-ins.

Diane, I am running outlook 2007 loaded as part of small business 2007;
running vista ultimate. My distribution list contains over 70 names. I send
it to the distribution list in the BCC line, and to undisclosed recipients in
the "to" line. After composing the email and pressing send, I get the
unrecoverable error message. The only alternative I have is to exit. Could
the list be too long for the server?

it could be too long - but generally speaking, the error would indicate it
was a size issue.

Yes, I made the DL in Outlook 2007.
