When starting Oulook an error message appears:

OUTLOOK.EXE - No Disk
"There is no disk in the drive. Please Insert a disk into drive A: (floppy
disk)
[CANCEL - TRY AGAIN - CONTINUE]

When cancel is selected the program will open and run however the same error
message will interrupt every 5 minutes or so.

Why does this happen and how can I make it stop?

You probably used a file from a floppy sometime in the recent past, and the
reference to this file is in a recently used list somwhere. These pages
