When I apply a theme the background appears but not the buttons or

When I apply a theme my buttons and banners do not show up. I then Insert
navigation. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I sometimes can
get to insert a page banner and sometimes it is not available. It seems I'm
"dead in the water" I am working with students and they are frustrated!

It might work one day, then open it the next and the banner and puttons are
gone.

Re doing the theme usually does not work.

For the Web site to display the themed banners an buttons (when you insert them on a page in the site) you must first create a
Navigation View
View Navigation and drag your page from Folder List onto the Nav View under the Home Page or other pages
