When deleting emails via the delete button(X) they are permanently

Anytime I delete emails by selecting the X(delete button) on the tool bar the
emails dont go into the deleted folder instead they just permanently
disappear. Is there a setting that I can uncheck to stop this from happening?

Forgot to add that the autoarchive is on but is set to autoarchive every 14
days. When I delete the emails they immediatly didappear. No rules set.

Rules are irrelevant in this case.

What type of account are you using? What version of Outlook?
