What's wrong with Vista 'Search for files' utilty?

Why search cannot find the file located in \System32 folder when I tell
search to look in drive C:\?
Only when I point search directly to \System32 folder search will find that
file.
Of course I have all folders (and files) unhidden.

You would have to do a *include hidden, systems and non-indexed files* using
the Adv Search when pointing to <C> I would suspect to make the Search
search eveywhere. Otherwise, it's only going to search in indexed locations
on <C>, the default, as opposed to you directly pointing to System32, and it
searched on everthing in System32, becuase you pointed directly to System32.

The XP one sux too - as i recall it only finds files with registered
file extensions, stupid.

Just get a good freeware file finder and a good freeware file manager
since explorer sux too.
