I've recently bought a Lexmark X1150 printer/scanner and I'm very
dissatisfied with the quality of scans. I looks as though the colour
resolution is less than 8 bits per channel, or the driver artificially
increases contrast. Can anyone look at this photo
(http://www3.telus.net/chady/lexmark_sample.jpg) and help me
identify the problem? It's been scanned in grayscale, where the problem
is the most visible.
Lexmark's customer support is appaling. They do reply the next day, but
never answer your question, just send you a random article from the
knowledgebase. It's infuriating. If you're thinking of buying a Lexmark
product think twice and look at cartridge prices too!
