What types of music files can be played in PowerPoint?

Just wondering what file types can play in PowerPoint, other than wav and
wma. I also want to use only a few lines from a song. Do I need to edit
this out? Or is there an easier way? If so any tips?

You will need to edit your selection before you bring it into PowerPoint.
MP3 files are also an option.

Hi there

Info about supported sound files (and other audio tips) can be found here:
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00047.htm

Yes, you will need to edit the clip and no you can't do that in PowerPoint.
Audacity (free) is the one people usually recommend. There are links and
alternatives here: http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00305.htm

Post back if you have any more questions :)
