What margins for tri fold A4 leaflet?

I am designing a trifold leaflet for A4 size and have used a brochure
template from Microsoft. However the template is designed for letter size and
not A4 so the folds do not fall directly between the columns. can anyone
suggest how to set it up correctly? Thanks

To change the paper size in Word, click on File | Page Setup | Paper tab |
Paper size: A4 | OK. It would help if you said what template you're using...
assuming the template uses columns, the columns should automatically resize
to fit the new paper size.

Unfortunately, Word's Brochure template relies heavily on text boxes. Like
most of the MS-provided templates, it's a dog's breakfast.
