I have a gigabyte motherboard with three PCI slots, I also have one slot
which is green.
What is this green slot for?

More likely it is PCI Express as you say, I thought all AGP slots were
BROWN.
Looks like I need to find the mobo model and go to gigabyte site. Thanks
heaps.

What model?
Most likely it's an AGP slot which are green, although it could be a PCI Express slot
which are blue.

The PCI-e slot on my MB is green.

Newer boards are getting colorful and Gigabyte also has brown PCI-e slots. The
only ones I saw with green slots were for AGP, you never know though.

That's the best way to find out. You're welcome.

PCI-e.

PCI-e is a different standard, both newer and faster than PCI. At the
moment, the only PCI-e cards that exist (as far as I know, are video
cards. If you use a PCI-e video card in that slot, your video will be
faster than if you used an equivalent PCI video card.
