What is the Windows 7 about?

I saw at Beast Buy announcing what appears that we can get Windows 7 in the
internet.

What is this about? It is a new Windows coming out?

If so, when it will be available in the retail stores for purchase there?

Will it replace Vista?

Windows 7 is a new version of Windows Client Operating System, like Vista.
It is not released yet. You can download the trial version of Windows 7 from
Microsoft web site. It simplies lots of operations and provide potentials
for windows client computer. No idea whether it will replace Vista or not.
But Vista will be used for some years for sure. More details can be reviewed
on the following page.

Yup, there's a new Windows coming: Windows 7. It will have a new interface,
a much improved version of UAC, better performance and smaller runtime
'footprint'.

You can buy it already, in advance at a discount (at about 50% off what is
the planned retail price). The launch (general availability) is in October
22, 2009. Most likely it will be available through some channels well before
then.

Yes, it is intended as Vista's replacement.

Read more about it, for instance here:

It will for some people. It will not for others. What you run is up to
you.
