What is the problem with MediaPlayer 10 for XP?

Dear friends:

What is the problem with Media Player 10 for XP?

The Windows XP SP2 Upgrade page says that this upgrade is for USA
customers only. Why such a discrimination?

Is it worthwhile to have it? Which are its advantages?

Thanks

My guess would be that there is some copyright or DRM technologies that the
US will not allow to be exported.

I think it means the 'United States English' version of XP (and the SP2
for it), which covers most English-speaking countries. Just as you have
to wait for a Spanish version of SP2 you probably have to wait for a
Spanish (or other language) edition of WMP so as to have all its
interfaces/menus in the right one

The problem is that the new features (music stores) are only available in the
USA, and since some of the old features are tied to this (Info Center View)
they are no longer available.

And which is the problem, for people living in other Countries, to buy
music from the USA music stores? (See my original posting).

Basically, the problem is that the media player will not connect to the
stores if you live in another country. It will tell you "There are no
available stores in your location". You can use the player, and it is nicer
than version 9, you just cannot connect to the music sites through the
player. Hope this helps.
