..ocx files are ActiveX controls.

mswinsck.ocx = Microsoft Winsock Control DLL
mswinsck.ocx is the winsock control module used in Visual Basic applications
to add the functionality of socket programming.

SDPON seems to be Shut Down or Power On Now (exe).

Hi Wesley,I downloaded the mswinsck.ocx file from your site and manually
installed it and received the confirmation message afterwards.Unfortunately
the problem did not go away. The only difference is that after rebooting
itself,it doesn't return any messages as to why it rebooted,as it did
before.Any other suggestions that you may have? THANKS

No, you did not. I do not have a site.

I do not have mswinsck.ocx on my machine, I do not have any applications
that need it for anything.

I have no idea what application you have that thinks that it needs
mswinsck.ocx.

Is it possible that mswinsck.ocx is supposed to be on whatever CD is causing
your rebooting problem?

I forgot to add this.

This won't fix your problem, but it'll keep your machine from rebooting,
unless the rebooting is caused by a hardware problem. To fix that you need
to fix the hardware problem.

It may also help reading a BSOD. Blue Screen Of Death.
