What is the least expensive way to connect and do emails when tra.

We are going to be going to Mexico for a month and then New Zealand/Australia
for another month. I would like to use my notebook computer. I would like
to know if I can just type my emails off line and then go to an internet cafe
and hook my computer up somehow to their isp and send/receive fast and
inexpensively. Do internet cafes usually allow this? How long does it
generally take and what attachments would I need to have to do this? Other
suggestions?

Internet cafes usually do not allow you to 'hook up anything '
Other suggestion; open a free, eg Hotmail account, accessable from any
connected sys. If neccessary set yr usual account to forward a copy of yr
mail to this account.

Agree that you can't count on connected up at Internet Cafes, but
wireless WiFi access is becoming more available as time passes ... for
pay, deliberately free, or inadvertent open/non-secured devices. Don't
know the market penetration of this, but in some big cities can be
found. Starbucks is starting provide for-pay wireless this and their
are becoming (unfortunately) ubiqutious. I don't have links at hand, but
I understand there are web sites which publish directories of wireless
access points for the world, as they hear of them. Try Google.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
