What is the easiest way to embed a pic to a form?

I current ly have a database which a user can embed a pic into an OLE object
by right clicking and pasting a pic into the box. This box has the control
[pic]. But the fpics are taking up too much space this way.

What would be the easiest and simplest way for a non Access user to insert a
pic into the OLE object box in this form? I am reaching the database max size
and I need a solution and can't find another simple way for the user. Any
suggestions much appreciated!

The sample imaging databases at http://accdevel.tripod.com illustrate three
approaches to handling images in Access, and the download includes an
article discussing considerations in choosing an approach. Two of the
approaches do not use OLE Objects and, thus, avoid the database bloat, and
some other problems, associated with images in OLE Objects.

There are other methods not included in the sample, but two of others use a
registered image processing software package just as OLE Objects do. At MVP
Stephen Lebans' site, http://www.lebans.com, you will, if memory serves,
find a control for displaying image files that is far preferrable to the
Bound OLE Frame.

You may feel free to use the samples as a starting point for your
application, but be aware that they are intended to demonstrate the
technique, features, and functions and were not intended to be, and are not
"finished application" components.

If you are printing the images in reports, to avoid memory leakage, you
should also see MVP Stephen Lebans' http://www.lebans.com/printfailures.htm.
PrintFailure.zip is an Access97 MDB containing a report that fails during
the Access formatting process prior to being spooled to the Printer Driver.
This MDB also contains code showing how to convert the contents of the Image
control to a Bitmap file prior to printing. This helps alleviate the "Out of
Memory" error that can popup when printing image intensive reports.
