What is support.com Agent?

Hi

I have recently performed all windows security updates after some snags and
cleaned up my PC. I see running 'support.com Agent', with an icon of an 'X'
with a dot over it. I do not know what this is and am unsure if it is
something in the security service packs, or ad ware or what.

I am running avast! virus protection.

Either your ISP or computer manufacturer installed that software
on your machine. Take a look here:

Around here Comcast bundles it with their cable setup software.
It's a way for them to save on support costs. It shows up in
Add/Remove programs as Broadjump. It could also be part of your
PC makers support system.
