What is SMB connections ?

P

Peter

According to some articles, it mentinos that Windows 2003
Web Server Edition is limited to 10 SMB connections.

I would like to know the exact meaning of SMB. Does it
mean that a share on the Server can allow 10 concurrent
connection ? Does it apply to mapped UNC drive from other
workstations to the Server (Is it also a SMB connection)?

Thanks

You are exactly right.
The server will allow 10 concurrent connections to a share. A UNC
connection is a AMB connection.

It will allow unlimited FTP, HTTP, HTTPS connections.
