What is NSI?

When I try to paste a Word doc into Adobe Pagemaker, I get a message that
says "unrecognized character set--ANSI used." And I cannot paste the doc
into Pagemaker. This just started when I switched to Word 2007. I also get
the message "try to format in some other way." How can I do this?
