What is an 8218 event in an event log?

My incoming faxes are failing with a "reception error." The
event log for these incidents shows "8218." What is that?

Were you able to receive faxes before? If so, list out the steps (any
software you installed) you did before it stopped working. I presume you are
using Microsoft Windows 2000 Fax. Also please copy the entire event message
for us to help you more.
