What happened to the classic Help file?

,I'm getting really fed up with Office Online help. A simple query from,
say, Word comes up with dozens of replies, some relating to other Office
programs, and some requiring me to sit through a 30 minute online demo, when
all I want is a quick reminder or how-to. The old-style help file was fine,
but seems to have disappeared.

Also, how am I suppposed to get help if I am working off-line?

Have you limited Help to searching offline?

I didn't know you could do that. That certainly seems to reduce the answers
to a query and make them more manageable.

Is there an option to search online if I can't find what I want?

Yes. Look at the bottom of the Search Results task pane. Where you probably
have "Offline Help" displayed, you can click the arrow to open the dropdown
menu and make other choices.
