What does "VGC" stand for in the Track Changes comment block?

I have just started using Track Changes. My comments are labeled VGC1, VGC2,
etc. I don't know what VGC stands for and I'd like to not have it there. I'd
just prefer Comment. Is there any way I can lose the VGC? Thanks.

They are "your" initials, derived from Tools | Options | User Information.

Mmm. Well, I guess you're saying that these "initials" were just generated
randomly? I don't understand why the program would do that. My actual
initials are RJV.
Thanks for your reply.

Did you check what initials are entered on the User Information tab of Tools
| Options?

Suzanne: Thanks so much for your suggestion to check the User Info. tab of
tools/options. Prior to your last email I figured out that "VGC" stood for
Valued Gateway Client. i found this out when I left my cursor over the
comment bubbles of Track Changes and another bubble with Valued Gateway
Client popped up. And when I checked the user info. tab, it had in it as
Name: Valued Gateway Client and under Initials:VGC. So I typed in my name and
initials and now they appear in the Comment bubbles I've done since. So the
problem is solved. Many thanks.
Now I don't want to take any more of your time. You don't have to respond to
this but if you can provide a quick answer, please do so. Here's the
question:My current computer is a Dell, my prior computer was a Gateway. I
remember some of my prior documents that I created on my Gateway showing
"Prepared by:Valued Gateway Client" when I ran the cursor over them while in
My Documents. But why would the Valued Gateway Client notation still appear

Please note that my initial response did direct you to the User Information
tab of Tools | Options. I guess you overlooked that.

As for why you have "Valued Gateway Client" for the username on a Dell
computer, did you create the current document based on a template imported
from the old computer?

Ok, I missed that you initially mentioned Tools/Options. I'm not that great
with computers. I did move a lot of my old stuff via a program called
Intellimover to my new computer, so that probably accounts for the Gateway
reference. Thanks for your help.
