What does "Cannot contact LDAP Directory Server" error mean?

I installed Office 2003 and tried to import my address book into the new
Outlook. I got the above message and cannot access my address book. Help!!!!

Did you upgrade from 2000? you'll need to go into the profile and delete the
ldap address book. Tools, email accounts, view or change address books...
delete the ldap one in the list.

I did that and it worked. Thanks, and no, I did not upgrade from 2000 - I
purchased and installed Office 2003. Cajun
