O
On the Bridge!
Is there anyone delusional enough to still believe Vista is not a
problematic product?
I hope not.
I think the reason why Vista is like it is (crap), is because of 3 things.
1) lack of orginazation in Microsoft. Remember they started with a different
plan making longhorn,
then shifted course and started working on a different plan throwing much of
the work they had done away.
2) Lack of care and actually listening to the feedback and requests from the
people.
Everything about vista clearly shows that the developers ( I mainly mean the
people in charge of the planing, not the simple code writers) closed their
ears to what people wanted
and went ahead and danced to their own drumbeat making so many mistakes its
incredible.
3) The final blow was the CLASH between the buisniness people and the
develppers.
The developers knew Vista was not ready, not only vista was not ready but
the "partners" who created drivers didnt have the guidence from MS fast
enough to create the "ecology" for a new strangely made OS like Vista.
You can read exactly what I mean by the above "strangly made vista" here

"Secondly, he said, major changes to the way Vista handles audio and video
caused headaches, particularly for those upgrading from XP. Finally, he
said, many Windows XP drivers didn't really work under Vista. "This is
across the board for printers, scanners, wan, accessories (fingerprint
readers, smartcards, tv tuners), and so on," Sinofsky wrote. "This category
is due to the fact that many of the associated applets don't run within the
constraints of the security model or the new video/audio driver models."
