What CD/DVD burning software works with Vista?
Are there any suitable freeware ones?
And ... does Vista have burning software built-in?

Vista has its own CD/DVD burning software but it may not offer as many
options as external programs.

Vista does have a limited burning function built into wmp11, moviemaker and
windows explorer but if you want more advanced options your probably better
off installing burning software of your own.
I have Ulead burn now ver1.15 it came bundled with my burner it works very
well with vista RC2

I use DeepBurner free XP edition, so I did from RC1 -5600 to burn iso file
for RC2-5744, and could install it.

I too have used DeepBurner. There's a freeware version available at
www.deepburner.com.

Is that the portable version? Because when i try to install the "normal"
freeware version, i get a message saying: "Cannot install the file
"D:\Program files\
Astonsoft\DeepBurner\Autorun\cdrun.exe"!" And then the install program just
stops. I'm using Windows Vista RC1 Build 5600.

Curious, have you tried installing it in compatibility mode (right click the
launch icon, somewhere in the properties is compatibility, I usually set :
(1) Run as Administrator, and (2) Run in Windows XP SP2 mode. Everything
likes to work after that.
