What causes an "Invalid Format" error in Excel 2002 to crash the f

My files crash over and over again. It is a relatively large file. The
error message is "invalid format", but it does not say what format is
invalid. My version of Excel appears to be 2002, SP3. The error occurs when
I go to save the file.

HELP!

Try and save a smaller version of the file.

What you need to do is to try and isolate where the error is occurring.

To give to a simple example.

Let us assume that you spreadsheet covers only cells A 1 to E 6 inclusive.

Copy of smaller subset of that data (say cells A 1 to C3) off to another
Workbook and then save that. Does the smaller subset save OK? If it does the
problem is probably not in that data.

This could be a slow and laborious process, I admit, but you should
(eventually!) be able to isolate the offending cell(s).

If my comments have helped please hit Yes.

Thanks!
