What are the trade-offs?

Hello group

I'm sort of new to the fax libraries and I feel like I've been paradropped
in uncharted territory. I'm trying to find out how to choose which library
and platform I should develop for. It seems that there are some trade-offs,
but what are they?

Basically, what I'm looking for is "for Win2k you can only use this library
and only use so many devices - for Server 2k3 you can also use that library
and use so many devices etc."

If anyone could tell me that or point me to the secret MSDN article on the
topic, I'd be glad.

From Win2000 onwards (except for SBS 2000) all OS's support Fax COM API.
Additionaly from Windows XP, Windows 2003 and SBS2003 supports extended COM
API also.

Thanks. Can you also tell me the maximum number of devices for each
platform?
