Funny, I've been checked for a ticket stub several times at events and

You don't have an honest face? It's never happened to me and I started
going to movies in the 50s.
I see, so when you fail to have a point you resort to foul comments.
It's a very good sign that you've failed and know it.

Actually, the comparison is spot on considering the bullsh*t you've been
spewing here.
The fact that there is little uproar about it, the fact that only a
small handful of people are complaining about it.... Much like the ones
complaining about the Patriot Act.

The Patriot Act has messed up computers? How did it do that?
I don't ready MS Press or their mags/articles, but I do follow tech news
sources.

Then you would know that neither the Defense Department nor Proctor and
Gamble were amused.

Huh? I have yet to have a movie theater require me to install anything
on my computer.

Yes, you don't have to purchase a ticket for your computer either, you
don't have to prove that you've purchased a ticket for your computer if
you go the bathroom either, you don't have to prove that you've
purchased a ticket when you buy popcorn either....

It's funny watching you avoid the fact that WGA is not a problem for
legit owners in almost every case.

I don't have the time to learn another OS and when I bought XP, I was
not informed that I would also be fighting piracy for MS.

You are not fighting anything - I thought you've stated that your
machines have activated and not caused you any problems with WGA.
Just the fact that I have to take the time to install it four times and
worry about it f*cking up my computer is enough reason not to have it.

But, you don't have to install it, or any updates. In fact, I've
installed it on one computer to see (WGAN) what it would do and found
that I didn't need it after the test passed, so I removed it. Since that
time I've unchecked the update and told the update to ignore it, not a
problem/time since.
Like I said, MS has NO RIGHT to require that its paying customers fight
piracy for them. Period. That's the job of the legal authorities. Full
f*cking stop.

And you don't have to use the OS if you don't like the way it's going.
If you spent half the energy you use complaining to install and learn
Linux would would be free this hate and hype you try and support. The
simple fact is that WGA doesn't impact legit users, WGAN has little
impact on non-pirated copy users, and the hubbub is more hype than
anything I've seen in a long time.

Same here .. although not since the 50s .. I was born only a little later ..
but I go to movies often with my brother. On the busy nights they check our
stubs as we go in. Otherwise they just wave us in. Once I saw them ask for
the stubs of a small group of people who seemed dazed and confused. But
otherwise, once in, as yet, I've been asked for to show my ticket stub. The
door is the check. Depsite the fact that one will get some criminal
activity, I think there is some room for the "honour system" in society.
Completely eliminating it means no one develops any.

Many millions of people think the Patriot Act is a violation of their
rights. Most people do not have the time or where-withall to be vocal on the
matter. But in case you didn't notice, films etc. that take stances in
oppostion to it do pretty well at the box office and video rental stores.

It made for a nice companion to the DMCA which is messing up all things
digital.

You don't have an honest face? It's never happened to me and I started
going to movies in the 50s.

It's nice to see you dismiss something because it's not happened to you.
Your experiences don't mean much, and based on what I've seen of your
statements, your sample is much smaller than my own and others I know.
Heck, even another person has posted that he's been checked.
Actually, the comparison is spot on considering the bullsh*t you've been
spewing here.

Not one thing I've said in this thread is BS, nothing. Since you can't
provide any facts to dispute what I've said you've resorted to all sorts
of distraction arguments, but they don't change the fact that WGA has
little impact, if any, on legitimate users of XP.
The Patriot Act has messed up computers? How did it do that?

It was what others consider a privacy invasion, but it reaches more
people that WGA and has and has just the same hype and impact on most
users - none.
Then you would know that neither the Defense Department nor Proctor and
Gamble were amused.

Actually, the computers in secure areas don't have WGA or WGAN, and they
don't have a lot of other things - when was the last time you were in a
secure installation or work with people that do DOD work? Now if you
mean that less secure machines, well, few people were amused by it, but
the ones running legit OS's were not impacted like you suggest.

Again, if you spent half your complaining energy on Linux or anything
else you would have been an expert by now.

I bet the lump of sh*t would understand, unlike you.

A one time ticket in a theatre or an arena is totally unlike using
copyrighted material in your own home on a daily basis. Even the lump
of sh*t would understand that, and wouldn't consider is an apt analogy
to compare the two.

So the lump of sh*t probably is insulted by my comparing it to your
brain, as it is more capable of understanding reality than your brain.

I don't ready MS Press or their mags/articles, but I do follow tech

And there has been quite an uproar over WGAN, though belatedly, in the
mainstream tech press. I'm sure that even the little green men from
Uranus are aware of this.

That's what I thought, all bark and no bite. You and Kurt like to
complain a lot, but you're both use XP and have not switched, but the
effort you put towards complaining could have got you off XP and on
another OS 10 times over.

Double yawn. I like XP. I like Office 2000. I don't like WGA or WPA
because I don't like being used to catch thieves and I don't like the
idea of some software I don't need messing up my computers and I like
complaining about it. Obviously, as two law suits prove, I am not alone
in this dislike.

LOL! What the hell are you talking about. We arre talking about paying
customers getting screw by MS and its malware.

Many ways. I've stated them many times before, so go google.
Kurt you're so full of bullshit. You could very easily move away from
MickeyMouse products. Millions have. But to do so takes a bit of computer
knowledge and the ability to get ones shit together and do it. You and
Alias would rather just spend your energies lamenting the MickeyMouse
silliness rather than switching. And don't repeat your bullshit that Linux
won't work with YOUR hardware. Linux supports more hardware than Windoze
does.

I never suggested that you were not alone, and you know as well as I do
that people file suits all the time without merit, if they think there
is a buck in it.

I read one of them, it was a flawed complaint in that it kept stating
WGA when it was talking about WGAN, which means the complaint is
worthless except to the money sucking lawyer.

You can run Office 2000 under Linux, I do, in fact I run office 2000, XP
and Office 2003 under Linux with Cross-Over.

My main computer won't run linux of any flavor. I do use linux on my
test machine.

And as for complaining, it seems you do a lot of complaining about
little ole me. ROFL!

LOL, I've seen that in a couple cases too, but don't tell nostop (or

Less than you do about MS, tons less.

Well this isn't a group about me, so any complaining about me is

I just tell the truth. I leave the FUD to you MicroSycophants, and you
are totally worthless.

See how worthless your recent posts are. All off-topic nonsense about
me. You forgotten the topic about WGAN altogether.

Just goes to show that you are just trying to fillibuster, not exchange
a rational conversation.

At least I still know the topic, and can name it, WGAN. You are still

Please continue to demonstrate that you have nothing to talk about other

You're the one that took it off track, as it was about WGA/N and how
most of it is just plan FUD and hype.

As much as you demonstrate that you have nothing constructive to add to
