WGA = BUG

I have owned my xp version and all office programs since PSU in 2002; Now wga
says my copy is not genuine; I suspect copying my system partition so I can
do a quick rebuild when things crash could cause problems? Unless my school
license is revoked for some stupid reason? No... I never shared it! I will
reinstall everything and not ok wga updates; now that I belive its nothing
but a bug by any other terms!
Anyone else have miss-notifications? no? better not say you do; ...its the
mis-notification inquisition!

Plenty of posters in the newsgroups have ranted etc re WGA etc.
Mind you, you are not using newsgroups I believe - you have come via the web
discussion group.
Why not tell them what you think of WGA - you might even get a reply etc
from an MS spokesperson.

Go to www.microsoft.com/genuine and revalidate. Reboot your computer after
this is done.
Let us know us if this fixes the issue.
Sometimes revalidating and rebooting correctly syncs the Windows library
files.

If not, try this:

Please click start, then run, then type in "wgatray.exe /b" then press
enter.
After that, log off and log back on.

If still no resolution, then:

Please follow this simple troubleshooting procedure:

1. Download and install the MGA Diagnostic Tool:

2. After running the WGA Diagnostic Tool, click
on the "Validation" tab and then click on "Copy to Clipboard".

3. Next, visit the following website and create a post in the
"WGA Validation Problems" forum and paste the

The term "school license" would make me tend to suspect that you have
a volume license issued under one of the educational licensing
agreements.

Have you considered the possibility that someone has posted your
volume license key to one of the "warez" boards or otherwise made it
public? That is what has happened with a number of volume license
keys such as the renowned "devils own" version that was one of the
first to be widely pirated.

I was not aware of any case specifically; It just generally seems to me that
no legitamate well to do company would use a pirate license; while the people
who do use swapped copies are despits; so whip those despits of the world
because Bill and Steve and MS are starving to give money back to the poor
despits; so what kind of merry-go-round of innovative inconvieniance hell are
we on here? I bet Balmers got a black leather licensing whip and an angry
smile on his face right now! Sorry it just feels good to gripe creatively!

Thanks sincerley; I am so apprehensive; I would not trust a MS fix right now
to save my bios licensed life! why should I have to go through the hass-hell
and offense to my dignity let alone my give up my free time..for Balmers
sake..when he pushed WGA down all throats exactly like a doped unconcious
date rape! Auto date rape update! Sorry it just feels good to gripe
uncreatively sometimes!

OK; [ www.microsoft.com/genuine ] worked for me in a few seconds!
I was truly mad but; It Really helped that the fix was so easy! scary and
creepy; but easy! I guess in the end .. after I've had my fill of griping
....I can be made to agree with digital rights enforcement...if its convient
and works right! ...hows my spelling?
