Welcome window

I am a solo user on my computer and use XP. I was always able to go directly
to the desktop after booting up until recently. Now I get the welcome screen
with my name on it and have to click on my name before getting to the
desktop. My question is, how do I get rid of the welcome screen?
I could live with it but it is annoying. thanks

---Method--1----------
- Click Start > Run
- Type "control userpasswords2" (Without quotes)
- Click OK
- Select your account from the list
- Uncheck "User must enter a user name and password to use this computer"
- Click OK
- If it asks, enter your user name and password.
---------------------------

---Method--2----------
1. Download TweakUI*
2. Click Start > Run
3. Type tweakui
4. Expand Logon > Click "AutoLogon"
5. Tick "Logon Automatically at system startup"
6. Verify your User name & Password (by clicking "Set password")
7. Click OK to exit tweakui

I have a similar problem to this. I haven't had my desktop set up for over 6
months and now that welcome screen is there asking for a password. I don't
remember what it is anymore. How can I reset it?
