Welcome screen

I can't change my welcome screen's background, here's
what i've tried:
Start -> run -> regedit -> hkey_users -> default ->
Control Panel -> desktop -> wallpaper type in C:\Document
and settings\<myusername>\Desktop\pictures\NK.jpg

That's what i did and that's how my friend told me but it
doesn't work

Is nk.jpg in a folder called pictures on your desktop?

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop

In the right pane, double click Scrnsave.exe and replace it with the
screensaver of your choice following this format:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\logon.scr

Or you can download this script and just enter in the .scr name:

Umm... I mean the welcome screen's wallpaper not
screensaver, and yes nk.jpg is on a folder in my desktop
C:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\Desktop\Pictures\nk.jpg
That is the EXACT directory of the picture.
