Welcome Screen Icon Missing

I accidently checked the "hide user name on Welcome Screen" option in
Tweakui, and now I can't log onto my computer when it starts up. I tried to
go into safe mode and uncheck this option, but when I restart normally it
comes up with the welcome screen with no icon again. I also checked the
automatically log on to windows option, but this does not work either. Is
there any other way to reset this to show the user icon on the welcome screen?

Start up in Safe Mode and log on with the Adminstrator account.
Run the Registry Editor (Start -> Run -> regedit.exe) and
navigate to this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList

Look in the right hand pane for an entry for your user account
with a value set to 0. Right click on the entry and select
Delete from the menu. Close the Registry Editor and reboot.

If you're stuck, you might want to go into Control Panel ->
User Accounts and click on "Change the way users log on or
off". Then remove the check mark from the box next to "Use
Welcome Screen" and hit the "Apply Options" button. This will
give you the "Logon to Windows" dialog box which will allow you
to enter your user account name next to User Name.

Another option would be to run control userpasswords2 to setup
automatic logon for your account. Here's how:

Go to Start -> Run.
Copy and paste the following into the Open box:

control userpasswords2

Click OK.
Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer".
In the box that pops up, replace Administrator in the "User
Name" box with your user account. Enter your password twice.
Note: You can leave the password box blank if your account does
not have a password.
Click OK twice and reboot to see if you get the desired
results.

All of these procedures can be run in safe mode through the
Adminstrator account.

Good luck
