I want to be able to hide the administrator account and display the student
account on the welcome page. The student account does not have a password.
The administrator account has a password. I know you can hide accounts or
have them not be displayed on the welcome screen using the registry. After I
hide the administrator account using the registry entry the welcome page does
not appear and it auto logins as the student account. Is there a way to
display just the student account on the welcome page.

The behavior is controlled by what XP Edition you mean, and if you mean an
account other than the default "Administrator" account.

To Logon as Default Administrator on Pro Edition, from Welcome screen, press
Ctrl-Alt-Delete, Twice , type "Administrator" and use a blank password (on
Home edition - boot to Safe mode - F8 on restart , same logon)

If the student account has a password, and you are using the default
administrator account, it does just what you want
