Weird Problem with MS AntiSpyware

P

Paul

If I uninstall AntiSpyware, and double-click a .bat file
from Explorer, it opens a DOS Command window and runs as
expected, closing the window when done.

If I then install AntiSpyware, and double-click a .bat
file from Explorer, a window flies up the screen from
bottom to top so fast it can't be read, and is then
nowhere to be found.

Taking a snapshot of the screen as it's travelling shows
that AntiSpyware is (quite reasonably) blocking it
with 'An Unknown Script File Attempting to Run Requires
Approval', but of course you can't click the button to
approve,as the window is whizzing along! Why is the
window flying about, please???

Can anyone help, please?

Thanks.

Regards,

Paul.

Do you have a vertical startbar? If so, this has been mentioned a a bug fix
in progress.

Tester is correct. The flying toast happens with vertical toolbars.
Horizontal toolbars don't do it. You can workaround it that way, or by
installing Microsoft's XP alt-tab powertoy, which allows you to alt-tab to
the dialogs and see what they say, as I understand it--I haven't tried that
one myself.

Thanks chaps, that is indeed the problem.
