Websites getting added to favorite on its own

Please help, please please.....

I donot know much about computer so please give detailed
indtructions. Whenever I am getting into internet, a
tonnes of websites are getting added to me favorites and
my home page is getting set to some gambling page I have
never visited.

How can i stop this???? Please this is very urgent. this
is happening at my work place. i might lose my job
even.....

Use google (http://www.google.com/) and search for Spyware and Browser
Hijack.

Sounds like you have tons of both.

I suggest looking into (installing, updating/scanning with) ALL of the
following applications:

Hijack This!

LavaSoft AdAware
http://www.lavasoft.de/

Spybot Search and Destroy
http://www.safer-networking.org/

I also like "The Cleaner" and "SpywareBlaster" and "SpywareGuard".

The first is a PAY product, but useable for 30 days - it has found and
eliminated problems in the past the others did not. The latter two are
prevention mechanisms. I like SpywareGuard for those with enough processor
to have something running like antivirus software - and it prevents browser
hijacking quite well.

Good luck in getting rid of it. I think Hijack This! should do it for you,
but that does not mean you should run only that one.. I would suggest at
least installing and running(after updating) AT LEAST Hijack This!, Lavasoft
AdAware and SpyBot Search and Destroy.

Another option you have is using another browser. I like Mozilla Firebird,
personally. Fast and has many features that people wish were in other
browsers..

Hi,

I downloaded the spybot scanner half an hour ago and it
detected lots of parasites. but to remove them it says i
need to buy the full version which is around 30 bucks.
seeing your advice i am thinking i might have to buy many
of the softwares to clean this junk. can you suggest any
one or two which are pretty good ones and i can save some
money???

please advice asap....

I bought spybot and tried it, tried hijackthis, cws
shredder, nothing is working, it is coming back again and
again. please help.
