Webnexus

Hello,

So I run Defender and it finds a Severe item, Webnexus. It asks if it should
remove it, I say Yes. It says that it needs to ShutDOwn my PC to clean it. So
I let this happen, 8 TIMES, and it always fidns the same thing. WHat's up
with this? Does it not erase it/clean it/quarantine it? What's the issue?
Does anyone know how to get rid of tis pest which has many pop-ups? I
already ran S&D and Lavasoft without success! Thanks.

I'd say that it sounds as though it is unable to clean successfully.

I'd recommend restarting in safe mode and doing a scan and remove, or--when
prompted to restart as part of this (never ending!) removal cycle, start in
safe mode--by pressing the F8 function key before the first Windows screen
appears, and let's see whether that allows the cleaning operation to be
successful.
