Web server "disappears" but only from XP

I have a problem with Frontpage on XP losing track of an IIS server.

Basic scenario: Boot XP, start FrontPage, work on web on intranet
IIS server. Exit FP, do other stuff. A while later (30 mins, maybe
more) restart FP. Do Open Web, select the server, get message
"The folder \\myserver\ is no longer available." Try it a couple
times, no changes, same message. Can't browse to the server from
MSIE "not found". Can't ping server or tracert to it. It's not
found in DNS lookup.

Network is still there, local folders are still available.
Can still browse the 'net, use the local connections, etc. All other
systems on the local network (other 3 are win2K) can still see the
server. Problem never occurs from Win2K systems with FP installed.

Now.. wait 5 minutes. Try again - it's all working fine. No changes
at my end whatever. Or, I can reboot and the problem goes away
immediately.

Any ideas ? I'm fairly confident this is an XP problem, not a FP
problem, that I am just seeing through FP. But, I can't seem to find
anyone who has a solution in the XP groups - although I have noticed
others with similar problems. I'm hoping that someone here has
encountered and solved this via FP and has a solution.

Thanks,

Check to see if you NIC is set to allow it to be turn off when not in use, to save power. This would
be under the Properties tab for the NIC.

Server is win2K Server, standalone, no domain, using a workgroup (All
authentication is by matching user/pass on clients and server).
Client
with problem is winXP Home SP2. Other clients are win2K pro/sp4.

All systems are on the intranet, if that is not obvious.

Thanks Thomas, already set to "always on". Also, all other network
operations (IP, mapped drives) continue to work when the problem
occurs.

Windows XP Home, is really not designed to be used in a corporate environment. However make sure the
user of "Home" is always required to login and that you are access the web server via it IP Address
or http://servername
