Web Pages Opening with partial-notice URL not working

I have XP Pro, IE 6 SR2, Office 2003, all updates current, use AVAST,
Spy-Bot S&D; Ad-Aware, and Windows Firewall is ON.

Opening three URLs this morning, each indicated the black/white notice the
domain wasn't available, or there...typical page for "no domain" but only
partially--the rest of the domain was visible, and functioning. What's up??

Thank you everyone.

this is msg I'm receiving

The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site
might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your
browser settings.

perhaps the web site is being updated and the pages in question are
being removed?

....kept "reloading" to clear cache (which is always clear) but nothing
helped. Haven't been to URL since.

Sometimes you get that when the server doesn't respond before the time
out, perhaps cause it is busy or the page is actually unavailable. In
reality a page here or a page there is no big deal and it may be back in
10 minutes or gone forever, but it has nothing to do with your
installation of Windows XP.

Well, the URL was open and working, but the image I sent was also present in
partial form on the monitor.

Sorry, but the original question and the current description is getting
a bit confusing. What do you mean "the image I sent was also
present....". Are you editing a web page and the page failed to reload?
You might want to start over with the whole story in one go.

I submitted a copy of the page that came up partially--the rest of the
domains were working...that's what confuses me, too.

In 5 websites, there was this notice, black on white:

"The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site
might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your
browser settings."

At the same time, portions of the websites I visited were actually
displayed, and working. This even happened in the Yahoo domain.
I hope this is more clear now. Thank you.
