Web Page Monitor

I know there are several freeware programs that monitor changes to web
pages. I need one that is capable of monitoring a portion of a web
page. I basically want to know when a new version of freeware becomes
avaliable. I have found a web site that monitors entire web pages and
have set it up to monitor web pages that reference the version number.
This works but it flags too much stuff that I am not interested in.
Does anyone have experience with a program like this? I would
especially like to hear from someone that has tried several programs.
