Web App Project not available after SP1

J

Juan Romero

Guys,

I installed VS 2005 SP1 and now my Web Application Project template is gone.

I had the template before because I had installed the patch and the add-in
for it. I uninstalled the template as per SP1 installer's request but after
SP1 was done my WAP template is nowhere to be found.

Has anyone else had this problem? How did you solve it?

I am running a Windows XP Pro SP2 machine.

Please let me know.

Thank you in advance!

I would reccomend not installing SP1.

Visual Studio crashes on me; once a day.. and SP1 sure didn't fix the
problem.

the problem is that VISUAL STUDIO is not held to the same levels of
excellence as MS Office; and this is why I would rather program in
EXCEL than in VS.

MS didn't kill VB6 in EXCEL.
Why would I use a crappy IDE and a CRAPPY language in order to build
CRAPPY apps that don't run on any desktops?

VB6 and Excel runs EVERYWHERE.
the framework is not on any desktops; and 2002,2003,2005 don't run on
Vista.

SO **** DOTNET.
AND LONG LIVE VB6

Ignore the aaron.kempf post; he's trolling.

Maybe you can reinstall the template?

Robin,

Please don't feed aaron.kempf by telling that he is trolling, he is happy
with both our posts now.
Just say nothing.

Juan,

I have the same kind of problems, probably do we both have a non English XP
system and an English VS 2005.

Therefore my question: are there others with the SP1 from the English VS
2005 on non English OS systems?

Doh,

I should add, I have this problem only on one computer, on others it is
working fine, however I don't understand why that one does not go.

I'm not trolling; I am notifying the world that SP1 didn't fix jack
shit.

When MS stops putting out sub-par software is when I stop bitching

When MS stops SELLING US ON A NEW BUGGY VERSION instead of fixing the
old buggy version is when I stop this war.

If you're not pissed off then you're not paying attention
