WD SATA shown as a scsi hd?

I have Vista Business installed on the following: Asus A8N5X Mb. 2gigs ram.
X2-4800cpu, ATI x1800xt, WD SATA 250gig HD(16meg cache). I updated the MB
drivers from the Nvidia site using the Nforce4 Vista drivers. On system
devices I have the HD showing up as a SCSI hd. Why?

It is how the driver reports it to Windows. It's completely normal. Some
DVD emulators come up as SCSI, as well.

SATA comes up fairly often as a SCSI controller.

My Sata drives have always shown up as SCSI on my system including way back
when I had xp...I am also running Vista Business

If your controller shows up as SCSI, the drives attached to it will show up
as scsi devices.
Every controller (physical or virtual) not regarded as IDE ATA/ATAPI will
show up as "SCSI"
