Hi,
When opening & lookink for updates, the WD icon is in the systray
for a moment, then it disapears completely...
( Always visible is cheched in the taskbar properties )

How can I always have the Windows Defender icon always visible
in the sistray when running? ( It was so with the beta )

Thanks

Try:

right-click an empty area in the systray area, and choose customize
notifications.
set it to "always show."

Thanks, but does'nt work...

The icon only appears when I check for updates, ans when it says:
"No updates available", the icon totally disappears fom systray.
(I cannot open WD from systray icon anymore ...)
Have to go to Program files & launch WD again, for scanning for example.
*Have to say this bug had never happened with the beta version !
Don't know how to fix that ?

Have you tried enabling thru the WD application? Open WD. Select
Tools>Options and scroll down to `Real time protection options`. Then under
`Choose when WD icon appears in the notification area`. Check mark the
`Always`radio button.

Thank you very much !
That did the trick...
Sorry, but I don't speak fluent english and I didn't read till end
the options section !
( But there is no way to get WD in French language...)
So, greetings from France!

You are welcome. Glad to be of assistance.
BTW your English seems OK to me - much better than my French.

Greetings from just across the channel.

Excellent. I misread your earlier message. I thought that you had said
that setting was already checked.

Other languages will be arriving. German and Japanese are available now, I
believe, for all versions (32 & 64 bit) but over 20 additional languages
will be available--but no schedule has been published.
