@Urmas - it's hard to imagine a bank not accepting someone's money...! From the photo, it must have been a devastating fire... I hope the Bank's contribution for the burnt cash will be enough to fund the students' field trip.

@Urmas - it's hard to imagine a bank not accepting someone's money...!

Logistics and schedules... bank branch offces are few and far between these days — and many do not handle cash at all. And those (few) still handling cash do it with a "scrimpy" schedule — say, between 10am and 1 pm. Add to that the fact that the unfortunate school was situated in the remotest village in Finland — the nearest branch office being 440 km (over 270 miles) away...

Let's hope the fundraising gets ALL the money that they lost.

So there is a good reason to use internet banking then.
