wayward .dll &SP-1 update

B

bluescreen

Loaded XP clean. Ran XP SP-1 update. Had a file problem.
Ran "sfc /scannow" to fix file problem. worked fine. A
few days later enocuntered the following on boot up.
Dialog Box stating:"Error Loading", "C:\windows\sys32
\NvCpl.dll", The Specified Module could not be found"
When I cancel it out all seems to run fine.
Question: How can I fix this?

Question 2: I thought to re-run the MS SP-1 update, but
the MS update site scans my machine and sees that SP-1
has already run and denies me the file to run again. I
assume rerunning SP-1 will fix it as I assume the first
run of SP-1 may have failed on my end.
Any thoughts?

nvcpl.dll = NVIDIA Display Properties Extension
My nvcpl.dll is in C:\WINDOWS\system32 and C:\NVIDIA\Win2KXP\52.16
Do a search for nvcpl.dll and see if and where it shows up.

C:\Documents and Settings\B.NealGaskin\Desktops\Download
file\win2kxp44.03\Win2kxp44.03\Asus

That explains why you're getting the error!
Copy and Paste a copy of nvcpl.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32
and your error should go away.
