way to clip content from browser

Using Windows XP Pro with latest IE and all updates...

Is there a utility that will allow you to cut/clip a certain part of a
browser page and paste it into another program like word? I currently do a
print screen and then past that into word and crop to accomplish the same
thing, but there has to be a better way.

MS Notes has such a tool that works well, but only works pasting things into
notes (where you have not crop capability).

Please advise.

Select what you want to copy; i.e., hold down left mouse key and drag the
cursor over what you want.

No, I am talking about drawing a box and cliping that.

Simply highlighting is very impercise, particularly with webs made of
tables...you get entire rows you don't want or entire columns you don't want
and then have to monkey with it in word to get way you actually wanted.

THanks, any other ideas?

None to get formatted text. You can clip a dragged area of the screen with
any of numerous graphic programs. Faststone Capture is an excellent one and
is free for home use.
